The goal of the Sequencing Development Workshops is to bring together scientists who have significant experience in next-generation sequencing method development and optimization to discuss new ideas and technical challenges with peers who can provide guidance and insight towards overcoming these challenges.
Many of our working group members are part of Harvard Medical School area Core Facilities that offer some form of DNA or RNA-Seq (e.g. single-cell RNA-seq, nascent RNA-sequencing, sequencing library Quality-control). These members are vital in providing feedback on developing robust protocols and on the use of automation for high-throughput projects. The Working Group is also a place to start discussions of new protocols that may be adopted by one of the core facilities and offered as a service.
